KLS Backup 2008 is a great all-in-one backup and synchronization solution for Windows. It aims to offer as many options as possible, targeting from novice to most experienced users, fitting all their needs in every situation.
The synchronization task offers a comprehensive set of options to completely automate the process, becoming transparent to the user. You can specify to connect to an FTP site, or set a network share as source or destination.
Moreover, the program comes with support for pre/post actions to perform before and after the backup, and commands when an error occurs. You can run a program, start/stop a service, and many more.
The product comes in two editions, Standard and Professional, and expires in 14 days (there is a nag screen when you close the program asking you for registering).
In sum, KLS Backup 2008 is a great product for everyone who want fast and reliable results. However, in my humble opinion, as a Linux user I prefer to save almost $60 and prepare a few backup scripts. I know it's not the same thing but...different strokes for different folks! |
